Five reasons for why do we need to keep our skin moisturized everyday?

Posted by Alpessence Team on

Our skin is composed of different layers; the outermost is the epidermis. It is important to know, that the surface of this epidermis (stratum corneum) consists of a layer of dead cells interconnected by a hydrolipidic film made of water and fat. And it is this thin layer which protects us from external aggression (bacteria, wind, cold, pollution etc.) and keeps the moisture level of our skin balanced, by preventing excess evaporation of water.

If the cornea layer is weakened, the skin barrier is broken and the skin becomes more vulnerable to external aggression. In fact, the skin is mainly composed of water. But it is very fragile and dehydrates easily. Therefore, it loses water, becomes dry, rough, and feels tight. Also, the skin that becomes dry reflects light poorly and loses its luster. Moisturizing the skin is therefore intended to strengthen this external layer and all of the skin.

There are several reasons why your skin can become dehydrated:

- you used an unsuitable product: your skin dries out then transiently.

- you are among the people who have dry skin by nature.

- dry skin is due to the natural skin aging.

- due to adverse external reasons like heat waves, during winter, etc.

Five reasons for why do we need to keep our skin moisturized every day?

1. A moisturizer keeps your skin hydrated

Hydrated skin is more colorful, plumper, softer, and softer. That is to say, it has all the characteristics of a young skin! Indeed all dermatologists, including those who practice true rejuvenation operations, soft or heavier, confirm that moisturizing daily is the foundation on which the skin care can be built.

A moisturizer is used to leave a greasy film similar to the hydrolipidic film on the skin and prevent the water in the skin evaporate. Avoid using products that attack the skin and speeds up dehydration: hot water, use of aggressive soaps, etc.

2. Replenishing the rough areas in the skin

Even if you have a normal skin, some parts of your body, like the knees and elbows might still suffer from skin roughness. Moreover, the day to day household chores might also cause skin roughness. So, applying a skin care body lotion after bathing or before bedtime aids in keeping these parts moisturized. Regularly using a moisturizing lotion makes the skin look silky and smooth and prevents dryness.

3. Provides a glowing skin

Nowadays, most of the moisturizers come bundled with glitters and shimmers to enhance the brightening effect on your skin tone. These lotions help in restoring the underlying tissues of the skin by removing the dull and dead flakes. When applied in the morning, the moisturizer acts as a base for your makeup and helps it hold up throughout the day. Moisturizing your skin at night will help your skin to regenerate and delay the onset of wrinkles. It is an essential step for glowing skin in the long term.

Hydration also helps to avoid dullness. For without hydration, the epidermal cells lack water and bleach, leading to a grayish skin appearance. Redness and pimples are also likely to appear due to lack of skin moisture.

4. Relaxes your calluses

Callus is a large area of skin that has been thickened, and they are formed mainly on the heel portion of the feet. Calluses are formed when skin is subjected to pressure and friction for a prolonged period. The epidermis, outer layer of the skin, reacts to form calluses which accumulate in layers.

Calluses are unsightly, but can also become very painful when the dry skin on heels begin to crack. A constant and regular maintenance as well as a relaxation of the affected areas, with products containing effective ingredients such as urea you will help keep the calluses under control and get rid of this condition over time. Moisturizing the skin helps in preventing the formation of calluses.

5. Moistening the skin gives a good and relaxed feel

Gently massaging the skin by using a perfumed skin care lotion aids in reducing stress and relaxing the nerves. You can pick from the different varieties of lotions available, based on your requirements.

Thus, to protect the skin from dryness, you must provide it with sufficient elements which contribute to the moisturizing of the skin. Choose creams rich in antioxidants and high-fat agents to deeply nourish your skin. Do not forget to moisturize your skin from within: drink plenty of water every day!

Once they stayed in longer time, it will cause dull skin and will decrease the our skin absorption to the skin care nutrients. With regular exfoliation helps unclog pores and reveal fresh rejuvenated skin.

Things women should know before 30’s

Posted by Alpessence Team on

People said time is fair because its the same to everyone, however, not for aging. For some people, aging has no connection with time. You might curious why does not time leave any trace on their face? For instance: our nightmare of wrinkles, fine lines, crows’ finger..etc. Although time and aging both are not something we cannot avoid, with some tips, we can postpone the aging from time. Below are some tips for women turning 30’s:

1. Cleanse

A good skin care is half way to anti-aging. Obviously, it is important to clean off your makeup and the day's dirt every day. If you need more reason to wash your face each night, you should know that your sebum (which is produced even if you don't look shiny and greasy) will trap environmental pollutants like cigarette smoke and car exhaust as well.

When looking for a cleanser you want a gentle cleanser that does a good job of removing everything without irritating your skin or over-drying you. Remember that you may need to adjust your cleansing routine with changes in season. A product that is great in the summer may be too much in the winter. You don't need an anti-bacterial face wash. Washing thoroughly with warm water has been shown to be as effective. Wash with warm (not hot) water to avoid drying out your skin, pat dry and apply moisturizer and treatment products immediately.

2. Moisturize

Each time we wash your face, we remove some of its natural moisture—and if we don't apply something to replace what's missing, skin becomes dehydrated. "Maintaining a moisture balance in our skin reduces the appearance of fine lines, prevents sensitivity and controls oil production," says Jennifer Linder, MD, a Scottsdale, Arizona–based dermatologist. Apply a dime-size amount of the formula for your skin type to each cheek and massage it into your face, neck and chest.

3. Stay hydrated

Lotion is only half of the hydration equation—skin needs moisture from the inside out. Drink 8 1 oz glasses of water everyday is very important for keeping your skin hydrated and looking clear to prevent skin from getting dull and dry. Also keep tabs on how much alcohol and caffeine you’re gulping down. Both can make you dehydrated, but drinking coffee or booze along with food and water can help counter the dehydrating effects.

4. Sleep tight

From the scientific study, 7- 8 hours sleep/day is important for everyone. It allows our skin cells renew overnight. When we do not get enough rest, it can take a toll on your skin, causing it to be dull and dry, leading to premature aging. A lack of sleep also causes you to have dark circles around your eyes, making you look older.

5. Protect

Ask any dermatologist what you can do to help with aging, and I bet 100% of them will immediately, without even thinking about it, answer you with "wear sunscreen." Sunscreen is by far and away the single most effective therapy for anti-aging. Nor do you get all of your important sun exposure before the age of 18. You can still do a lot of good by wearing sunscreen of at least SPF 15 every day with broad spectrum UV coverage and avoiding the sun in peak periods such as between 10 am and 2 pm.
